Pathway by FolderWave has been very well received by the administrators and counselors in our district. It’s user friendly, supported by an efficient helpdesk and training process, and contains aspects that fully comply with all of our Individual Learning Plan requirements. Pathway’s interface provides needed support for students and their parents in grades 6 through 12 in an engaging and accessible manner.
After using this website, I think that it was easy to use and helpful for kids to figure out some careers and high school classes just by putting in one or two of your likes. I already know what I would like to do later in life so for me, it was kind of fun to just click around and see some other, similar options! Overall, it is a great tool to find new careers and classes according to what you like. It is even helpful for people who already know what field they would like to work in, too.
It was a good learning tool to find out more about what I can do when I get older.
I really like the quizzes that teach you about your skills and what you have to offer. I was surprised to see how well the results matched my personality.
FolderWave has been such a fantastic resource to utilize in transition planning for our students. It is simple yet results driven and we can see how using it across grade levels will build strong results.
I think that Pathway is a great website. Even though I am still young and don’t really know what I want to do when I’m older, Pathways has helped me get a better understanding of different jobs. I think it is a great website.
When I first log in it is easy to navigate. All you need to do is scroll down on the home screen and you will see career Discovery Zone. There are a lot of cool activities to find a job you like, For example, everyday things. You pick two things you like and it gives you a list of a few jobs you might like to do, I picked computer and sports. A few of the jobs it recommended were Athletic trainer, Reservation, and transportation ticket agent. Another activity you can do is called Favorite Subjects, You pick a few of your favorite subjects in school and it will help you find a career and a list of classes you might want to take in high school. Overall my first thoughts about the website are very positive.
I think it was a fun and easy to understand platform for kids to use to explore career possibilities. I especially liked that it linked similar fields together so that students could broaden possible careers that interest them.
I was playing around with this website and I liked it. Why I liked it is if you have no clue about the website there are many solutions to solving that problem. One thing you can do is click on Pathway, and it tells you about the website in like 5 paragraphs. I also like how there are a bunch of career jobs that you can research about. The resources they give you are really good and here’s why. They tell you to pick 2 things/jobs that you may like. ( I chose sports and animals). After you choose 2 jobs you may like, it tells you a real life job that occurs with what you chose to do.
It felt like it was helping to make my path to the future.
